In most cases I will advise to opt for a combination of shiatsu and Chinese herbal therapy, as the two kinds of therapy mutually assist and complement one another. In the end, of course, it is your choice: you should choose the treatment that suits you best.
For shiatsu we would usually schedule a consultation once a week (a higher frequency naturally achieves result more quickly, and is recommendable for acute conditions) and for herbal therapy once every two weeks. There are very few complaints that can be expected to be resolved by only one shiatsu massage or one dose of herbs. Even if the complaint itself has only just arisen, it is quite likely that the underlying problem is of much longer standing, and, as a rule, the longer the problem exists, the longer the treatment path will have to be. To give the treatment a fair chance, it is reasonable to schedule at least four consultations; longstanding problems will not yet have been resolved, but by then you should be able to notice some improvement. Normally you decide whether you want to start the treatment when we finish the intake interview. If at any point concerns do arise, please feel comfortable to talk to me about it.
Of course you may always send me a message or phone me in between consultations whenever you have questions. See Contact.
